Highly Anticipated Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza To Host Ibiza International Music Summit as First Major EventJanuary 28, 2014
London, 17 January, 2014: The Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, set to open on 18th May, has announced the Ibiza International Music Summit (IMS) as its first major event.
Staying true to its musical heritage, Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will kick off its first season on 21 May, 2014 with one of the world’s most influential music industry gatherings, The Ibiza International Music Summit (IMS), which in the last seven years has grown from an intimate group of music leaders to a major opening weekend on the island. Combining the style and energy of the legendary Hard Rock brand with the vibrant Ibiza island setting, Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will open on the seafront of Ibiza’s iconic Playa d’en Bossa as an oasis of entertainment for all ages. On its open air stage, guests will be able to enjoy concerts by internationally acclaimed bands and artists, which perfectly complement the local scene and set Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza as a place of pilgrimage for music lovers.
As the international reputation of IMS grows, Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza is a natural progression for the summit, which will bring together the most important and influential decision makers in electronic music. The new property will welcome leading thinkers, futurists, trailblazers, artists, global brands and technology pioneers, who will debate, announce and explain new initiatives and strategies whilst enjoying all the facilities that Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza has to offer.
“We are delighted that the Ibiza International Music Summit has decided to celebrate its annual event at the new Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza”, shares Juan José Calvo, corporate director of sales and marketing at Palladium Hotel Group. “With music being one of the most important aspects of our new hotel, there is a natural compatibility between the IMS and Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza.”
“IMS was created so people can debate and be inspired about the future of a technology-driven genre of music, so inevitably our host venue needs to also move with the times,” states Ben Turner, IMS partner and panel speaker. “This is a major opportunity for us to create a new home as we expand with the genre and with the ambitions of our delegates. We are impressed with the work of Hard Rock International and feel we are in good hands. The irony of the history and name of the hotel is not lost on us – this is a true reflection of how our music is seeping into mainstream culture worldwide and continuing to break down barriers of entry.”
Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will boast 493 rooms, combining the island’s Mediterranean flavor with the philosophy of the popular Hard Rock brand. It will include 235 suites and leisure facilities, such as the Rock Spa®, Body Rock® workout facility and the world famous Rock Shop®, featuring Hard Rock’s merchandise.
