Temporary Closure

5PM March 20 through the end of March

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain Releases covid-19 statement

As the COVID-19 pandemic has intensified in the United States, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain is dedicated to following guidelines by the World Health Organization, The U.S. Center for Disease Control, and our local health departments to ensure the safety of our guests and team members. Governor Gavin Newsom has put forth his guidance memo regarding COVID-19 and we are doing everything possible to adhere to his recommendations. We are coordinating with Governor Newsom’s Tribal Advisor on a weekly basis and will continue to update his staff and receive updates from his administration. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain has announced today that it will temporarily close all property operations through the end of March in order to help assist authorities with containing this public health situation. This is a precautionary measure as there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain.

“Our highest commitment is to the safety and well-being of our guests, team members and partners,” said Glenda Nelson, Chairwoman of the Enterprise Rancheria Tribe. “We have been working closely with local, state and Tribal authorities to monitor this situation and ensure we have consistently implemented procedures to meet all requirements related to COVID-19. As the largest employer in Yuba Sutter Counties, we have invested significantly in this region and believe it best to adopt this measure at this time.”

The temporary closure will begin at the close of business on Friday, March 20 and remain in place until the end of March. Hard Rock management will continue to evaluate the status of this emergency in order to reopen the property to guests.  Up to this point, the Tribal Council and Hard Rock Management implemented several initiatives to enhance the protection of guests and team members. These included postponing all entertainment through April 15, increasing sanitizer dispenser stations and deep cleaning in all areas of the property, implementing societal distancing in gaming and restaurant operations, suspending bussing programs and enhanced CDC training for team members and public signage directives for guests.

“We will continue to provide compensation and full health benefits to all our team members during this temporary closure period,” stated Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain President Mark Birtha.  “We are focused on the wellbeing of our team and this means a continued commitment to payroll, benefits and appropriate health and welfare measures which are paramount.  Our employees come from right here in the Sacramento area, with over 70% coming from Yuba and Sutter counties.”
